Environmental Engineering - Annual Trip to AquaFarm​

Our Civil Engineering senior students from Paragon International University recently went on a site visit to Khmer Hydro Farm, under supervision by Dr. Puthearath Chan.
The purpose of this study is to visit facilities, observed how the system is working in practice after learning the theory in class, and had Q&A with the expert regarding the hydroponics system installation, management and maintenance, as well as water and nutrition control, seed preparation and growing, and vegetable cultivation, etc.

Chip Mong Insee Cement Corporation

On 20 February 2026, our Civil Engineering students had the valuable opportunity to visit Chip Mong Insee Cement Corporation for an insightful factory tour.🚀✨

 

The visit began with a safety induction session, followed by a comprehensive presentation on the cement production process – from raw material to finished cement. Students then explored the Control Center Room, QA Laboratory, and experienced a bus tour around the factory to observe large-scale operations firsthand. The visit concluded with a friendly gathering and lunch at the factory’s canteen — a perfect ending to a productive and educational day.

Engineering Geology - Annual Trip to Baset Mountain

On January 23, 2026, civil engineering sophomores at Paragon International University embarked on a field trip to Baset Mountain.

 

The trip was supervised by Mr. Ranysakol THUON, the course lecturer, who provided professional guidance and detailed explanations.


The primary objective of this field trip was to provide students with hands-on experience in identifying rock types and minerals, interpreting geological maps and structures, and applying field techniques and instrumentation.

Construction Technologies - Visiting Earthwork at AEON III and Building at Urban Living Projects

Our Civil Engineering sophomores from Paragon International University recently took part in an exciting site visit to two major projects: Earthwork at AEON III and Building at Urban Living Projects. Led by Mr. Anteneh Gebretsadik, the visit offered hands-on exposure to both practical construction processes and the full project lifecycle—from inception to completion.
A big thank you to the Urban Hub team for their warm welcome, detailed explanations, and provision of safety materials. This experience greatly enriched our students’ learning and industrial connection. 👷‍♂️🏗

Engineering Geology - Annual Trip to Baset Mountain

On January 31, 2025, students from the CE 221 Engineering Geology course at Paragon International University embarked on an insightful field trip to Baset Mountain, supervised by Mr.Ranysakol THUON, the course instructor. The trip focuses on observing and identifying the various rock types and minerals that compose the region’s geological formations. This hands-on experience allows participants to explore and analyze different rock outcrops, gaining insight into the processes of rock formation and mineral deposition. Students learned to recognize key features such as texture, color, and structure that help in identifying rock types like igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. In addition to rock identification, the field study also covered the measurement of rock planes, including bedding planes, foliation, and joint sets.

Environmental Engineering - Annual Trip to AquaFarm

On January 18, 2025, students from the CE421 Environmental Engineering course at Paragon International University embarked on an insightful field trip to AquaFarm, supervised by Dr. Puthearath Chan, the course instructor. The trip aimed to provide hands-on learning opportunities to deepen the students’ understanding of water quality management systems, water quality influencing factors, measurement techniques, and biological systems.
The field trip provided a unique opportunity for students to connect classroom knowledge with practical applications in environmental engineering. With insights from AquaFarm professionals and direct engagement with the systems, students gained a comprehensive understanding of water quality management and its critical role in sustainable practices.

Visiting Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand warmly welcomed our senior Civil Engineering class of 2024, led by Mr. Nurmurat Kandymov from Paragon International University, Cambodia.
The delegation was greeted by Prof. Dr. Kasem Choocharukul, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boonchai Lertnuwat, Assistant Dean for Administration, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chayut Ngamkhanong. Our students attended an informative lecture on graduate studies, delivered by Dr. Chayut, which offered valuable insights into the advanced academic opportunities available at Chulalongkorn University.
After the lecture, the students toured the department’s laboratories, where they observed ongoing research activities and the modern equipment utilized by the Department of Civil Engineering. This visit provided our students with a practical glimpse into the field and enriched their academic experience.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University for their warm hospitality and for providing our students with such a remarkable learning opportunity. This visit marks a significant step in fostering academic collaboration and expanding the global perspective of our future engineers.

Visiting National Construction Laboratory, Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction

An insightful journey into the heart of civil engineering! 🥳
On March 27, 2024, our Civil Engineering students, under the expert guidance of the Head of Department, Mr. Lida Sorn, explored the cutting-edge National Construction Laboratory under the gracious hospitality of the esteem Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

Our students had the invaluable opportunity to engage with AquaFarm’s experts, delving into the intricacies of aquariums, aquaponics, and hatchery ponds. Furthermore, they acquired in-depth knowledge regarding the water quality conditions and parameters inherent in these systems.

Visiting J Trust Royal Bank Construction Site, UYSING Investment Co., Ltd

🏗 Unveiling Excellence: Paragon International University’s Civil Engineering students recently embarked on a fascinating journey exploring the intricacies of the J Trust Royal Bank construction site, courtesy of the renowned foundation specialist, UYSING Investment Co., Ltd., in Cambodia.

Engineering Geology - Annual Trip to Baset Mountain

In January 2023, the Civil Engineering department conducted a study trip to Baseth Mountain, allowing sophomore students to study and determine the properties of different rock types and measure strike and dip.
Under the Engineering Geology course and the supervision of Dr. Chandoeun Eng, our Civil Engineering students got a chance put the lessons they learned on a practical basis.

Environmental Engineering - Trip to Peam Chileang Stream and Krapit Lake, Tboung Khmum Province

Our senior students conducted a study trip to visit Peam Chileang Stream and Krapit Lake (Tboung Khmum Province) to understand the factors that cause the water pollution in stream, lake, and farm.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Bunsong Seng, Vice Chief FiAC Department of Tboung Khmum province, Peam Chileang Commune Chief, and the Krapit Lake community that provided us a friendly and interactive welcome.
We would like to thank Dr. Puthearath Chan for the preparation and guiding the students during this study trip.

Transportation Engineering - Study Trip to Visit a Traffic Intersections, Phnom Penh

Our senior students conducted a study trip to visit some major traffic intersections in Phnom Penh city to analyze the traffic conditions at the locations. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the director of the department of public works and transport, that he provided us with the privilege to visit the Traffic Control Center (TCC). The crews were friendly and interactive, and our students really learned a lot from them.
Once again, we would like to thank the director of DPWT and Dr. Vengkheang Phun for making this happen.
